With Square Enix ditching Hitman, Warner Bros will take up publishing instead
Today, Warner Bros. and IO Interactive announced a worldwide publishing and distribution deal for Hitman. As part of this, Warner Bros. will publish the Hitman: Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PlayStation four on May 18, 2022.
According to the companies, Hitman: Definitive Edition features new in-game disguises for Agent 47 inspired by other IO Interactive games like Liberty Fighters, Kane & Lynch, and Mini Ninjas. The Danish studio has been around for twenty years now so this release is as well a celebration of its history. Equally expected, the parcel besides contains all of the Hitman content released for the first season of the game.
David Haddad, the President of Warner Bros. Interactive, issued the following statement alongside the Hitman: Definitive Edition announcement.
